ChhimiD Consulting (CDC) is a consulting firm established in Thimphu, Bhutan that is specialized in the skills on Hydrology/Water Resources, Energy, GIS and Environment. It was set up in 2015 to provide specialized services on Energy, Environment and Water Resources which were hitherto not available in Bhutan. Chhi-miD, in Dzongkha, the national langague of Bhutan means "no death" / "Eternal" which is the name of the company. This is represented as an Eternity Knot, "Pelyab", a lucky sign without an end indicating Sustainable Solutions and Services. The Five Colors of the knot represents 5 Elements, Blue-Sky, White- Wind/Air, Green - Trees/Water, Red- Fire/Metal, Yellow- Earth. Health and harmony are produced through the balance of the five elements. The scarf/khadhar ends on the either end of the knot represents respect/ service to the mankind and sustainability! The team had worked on numerous Energy, Environment, and Water Resources Projects in the recent years either through the firm or independently.

Our main strength lies in the ability to conduct Hydrological and Hydraulic measurements, surveys and analysis which are at per with global standards. We pride ourselves as the only private entity in Bhutan with this capacity and shall be happy to work with other private and public entities for assessment of water resources for any sector including Flood Assessments, to environmental Flows to Drinking Water Projects. We have carried out several important projects in Bhutan on water resources assessment including 2D Hydraulic Modelling, 1 D Modelling and Hydrologic Modelling. Our teams are fluent with various hydrological models and software such as Mike, HEC HMS, HEC RAS, HBV, WFLOW, VIC etc. Our clinets for these stream of works includes Government of Bhutan, UNDP Bhutan, ADB, Austrian Development Agency, World Bank Bhutan and DGPC.
